About Me

Hi. I'm Elizabeth Kraus.

I’ve launched Imperfectly Honest to share what I’m learning from some big life changes and my everyday life.

I’ve had a whirlwind few years marked by a large cancerous tumor that curved my spine, leaving a picture-perfect 16-year marriage, transitioning out of a career which I deeply loved and had been my sense of purpose for 15 years, moving to a place where I did not know a soul, and embarking on the adventure of dating for the first time since I was 21 years old.

I’m learning a lot through all of these experiences, and I thought you might learn something too.

Through my podcast and blog, I talk through:

  • How I’ve learned to be kindly candid with myself, my family and friends, and anyone else who is game.
  • How I’ve found the courage to pursue unconventional life choices that seem strange to others but right to me.
  • What I’ve learned about myself and my relationships through physical and mental health challenges.
  • And any other lessons I learn from my personal experiences.

I see life lessons in even the most trivial everyday interactions. Simply sharing a swim lane with a stranger at a public pool inspired one of the best chapters of my upcoming book.

The easiest way to find out more about what I’m up to is to subscribe to my feed, which will include posts for my written articles and podcast episodes. To listen to my podcast on your favorite platform, subscribe through Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
